Find Inner Peace and Clarity with These Home Cleansing Tips

Updated: Jan 20

As someone who has always been interested in design and creating a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere, I have learned firsthand the transformative power of decluttering, cleansing, and redesigning my home. Not only does it make my space more visually appealing, but it also helps me to feel more grounded and at ease.

I've also come to understand the importance of creating a harmonious and positive energy in my home. A cluttered, disorganized space can be draining and negative, and it can contribute to feelings of stress and overwhelm. By decluttering and cleansing my home, I've been able to create a more peaceful and uplifting environment that supports my wellbeing and promotes positive energy.

I've learned that decluttering and cleansing is not a one-time event, but rather an ongoing process. Incorporating it into my regular routine helps me to maintain a positive and harmonious atmosphere in my home.

I've also discovered the power of using various techniques to clear negative energy and bring in positive energy. For example, I love using sage smudge rituals to clear my home of any negative energy and bring in a fresh, peaceful, and pleasant energy. I've also found using crystals, such as quartz or amethyst, to be effective in clearing negative energy and bringing in positive energy. And of course, opening doors and windows to allow fresh air to circulate through my home is always a simple and effective way to clear negative energy.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by clutter or negative energy in your home, I encourage you to consider decluttering and cleansing as a way to create a sense of renewal and a fresh start for the coming year. You don't have to do it all at once – start small and work your way up. And don't forget to be kind to yourself during the process.

Mindfulness

Decluttering and cleansing can help you focus on what's important and make room for new experiences, opportunities, and goals in the coming year. A clean and purified home is key to manifesting your desired outcomes. Not only is it more enjoyable to spend time in a clean and organized space, but it can also provide a safe and welcoming environment for you and your family. There are many methods for decluttering and cleansing negative energy from your home, from simple to complex.

Decluttering

As you declutter, try to stay mindful and present. Don't let clutter ruin your peace of mind. Instead of getting caught up in thoughts about the past or future, being present can help you stay grounded and avoid feeling overwhelmed. It can be tough to let go of sentimental items or things we think we might need in the future, so try practicing gratitude for what you do have instead of focusing on what you're getting rid of. This can help cultivate a positive and grateful mindset. Choose a mantra to repeat during the decluttering process to remind you of your goals, like "I am creating a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere," "I am making room for new experiences and opportunities," "I am simplifying my life," or "I am grateful for all the things I have."

Decluttering can be challenging, so be kind to yourself as you go through it. It's okay to take breaks and go at your own pace.

Incense and Sage

Negative energy can sometimes accumulate in a home, which can affect your mood, physical health, and overall well-being. Cleansing your home with incense or a sage smudging ritual is a great way to clear negative energy and bring in a fresh, peaceful, and pleasant energy. Smudging is an ancient indigenous ritual used to clear negative energies and promote positivity. It involves burning sage or another plant to release negative energy. White sage is commonly used, but you can also use other cleansing herbs like cedar, rosemary, sandalwood, myrrh, and eucalyptus.. Using a variety of herbs can help purify and protect your surroundings.

Salt

Another effective way to cleanse and declutter negative energy from your home is to use salt. Salt absorbs negative energies from your space and purifies the air. You can create a salt bowl by mixing salt, herbs, and essential oils and placing it in a central location in your home, like on a table or in the entryway. You can also create a salt spray by mixing sea salt, lemon juice, and water in a spray bottle and spraying it around your home to help cleanse the energy. Salt crystals like selenite can also be used to cleanse the energy in a space. Just place the crystals in the corners of your home or in areas where you feel negative energy. Himalayan salt lamps are also considered effective for clearing and cleansing. These lamps have a toxin-absorbing effect that may help purify the energy in your home. Just turn on the lamp and let it run for a few hours to help clear negative energy from your space.

Air Flow

To clear negative energy from your home, try opening your doors and windows. Doors and windows are the primary pathways for outside energy, and if you keep them closed, you might start to feel a cold and irritable vibe in your home. By opening your windows, you can let fresh air circulate through your space, which can help clear away any negative energy. Sunlight has a naturally purifying effect and can help clear negative energy from your home, too. Allowing sunlight into your space creates a brighter and more positive atmosphere. Crystals like quartz or amethyst also have energy-cleansing properties, so you can place them near your windows to help clear negative energy from your home. Plants are believed to have energy-cleansing properties, too, and can help purify the air in your home. Placing plants near your windows can help clear negative energy and bring in positive energy.

Detecting negative energy in your home

Detecting negative energy in your home is not complicated; you just need to be aware of the signs. It's not just about looking at the house, but also paying attention to your own body and mind. If you're feeling uneasy in your home, it's likely a sign of negativity. Negative energies can also produce a stale, musty odor.

Remember that decluttering and cleansing your home is an ongoing process, not a one-time event. Incorporating it into your regular routine can help maintain a positive and harmonious atmosphere in your home.
